Belzona 5811, An epoxy coating designed for corrosion and chemical protection of equipment operating under immersion.

Belzona 5811

Overview

This is a two-component epoxy coating that protects equipment operating under continuous liquid contact at temperatures up to 50°C (122°F) in water-based solutions from the effects of corrosion and provides exceptional chemical resistance. With a 100 per cent solids (solvent-free) formulation, this material can be easily applied by brush or spray to almost all metallic and non-metallic surfaces, thereby facilitating maintenance work.

Benefits

Effective Immersion Corrosion Protection

Effective protection of equipment operating under immersion conditions from corrosion damage.

100% Solids, Reduced Health & Safety Risks

Reduced health and safety risks as it is 100% solids, with no solvents required.

Easy Brush or Spray Application

Spray- or brush-applied onto metallic surfaces, concrete, brick and others. Cures in low-temperature and damp conditions.

Excellent Chemical Resistance

Resists ethanol, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, hydrobromic acid, potassium hydroxide, ethyl acetate, methyl acetate, ethylene glycol, ammonia solution, diethanolamine, hydrocarbons, sea water and crude oil.

Eliminates Replacement, Reduces Downtime

Eliminates the need for equipment replacement and reduces downtime.

Adheres to Virtually Any Surface

Excellent adhesion to virtually any surface including cast iron, stainless steel, brass, copper, concrete, wood, fiberglass and aluminum.

Applications

Application Areas
Water Intake Grilles and Marine Structures

Repair and protection against damage caused by corrosion, erosion and wear resulting from exposure to seawater.

Chemical Storage Areas and Grey Water, Fresh Water and Ballast Tanks

Protection of surfaces exposed to chemical agents against corrosion and repair of damaged areas.

Sludge, Fuel Tanks and Channels

Remediation of corrosion and chemical wear caused by waste materials.

Piping Systems

Repair of damage caused by corrosion, erosion and leaks on internal and external surfaces.

Marine Buoys and Storage Tanks

Protection and repair of surface damage caused by the marine environment and environmental factors.

Submersible Pumps

Remediation of wear, corrosion and erosion damage caused by seawater and waste liquids.
