Belzona 5821

Ceramic Filled Coating
FN10182IMPA CODE: 812351

Ceramic-filled epoxy coating for corrosion and chemical protection of surfaces operating under continuous immersion.

Belzona 5821

Overview

Belzona 5821 is a two-component, ceramic-filled, 100% solids epoxy coating applied by brush or spray, developed to protect metallic and non-metallic surfaces operating under continuous immersion and direct contact with aqueous solutions.

Belzona 5821 provides outstanding protection against corrosive effects caused by salts, water, acids, alkalis, alcohols and hydrocarbons. It can be applied to virtually all rigid substrates including cast iron, stainless steel, brass, copper, concrete, wood, fiberglass and aluminum.

Benefits

Continuous Immersion Protection

Effectively protects critical equipment operating under continuous immersion and in direct contact with aqueous solutions.

100% Solids

Its 100% solids, solvent-free formulation provides a safer application with improved health and safety conditions.

Easy Application

Can be easily applied by brush or spray.

Cold-Curing

Applied and cured at ambient temperature with no hot work required.

Excellent Chemical Resistance

Performance across acids, alkalis, and solvents

Reduced Downtime

Helps eliminate the need for equipment replacement and reduces operational downtime.

Excellent Adhesion

Provides excellent adhesion to virtually all rigid substrates including cast iron, stainless steel, brass, copper, concrete, wood, glass-reinforced plastic (GRP/FRP) and aluminum.

Applications

MARINE APPLICATION AREAS
Ship Hulls and Offshore Structures

Protection of metallic surfaces exposed to the marine environment against corrosion, erosion and environmental damage.

Ballast Tanks and Cargo Tanks

Protective coating for surfaces exposed to salt water, chemicals and corrosion.

Bilge Systems and Seawater Pipework

Protection against corrosion, wear and flow-induced erosion damage.

Pumps, Valves and Heat Exchangers

Protection against surface damage that causes wear, corrosion and loss of performance.

Propeller and Rudder Systems

Protection against cavitation, erosion and seawater damage to help extend equipment service life.
